After the donor makes a donation, they receive a thank-you email at the email address provided during the donation process. In this email, they can view a copy of the receipt and also download the original receipt. The reason we emphasize displaying receipt copies rather than the originals is to enable donors to retain the original receipts for the unique tax return service with a single click. Within this framework, donors can claim tax refunds on their donations made throughout the year (those processed through JGive) using the website without having to visit the income tax department. We will submit the forms for your donors.
If a donor specifically requests the original receipt, direct them to the thank-you email, where they can download the original receipt themselves.
In the event that a donor does not receive the thank-you email, please contact our support at support@jgive.com. Include the donor's full name (first name and last name) and the email used for donation in your email. Request the creation of the original receipt, providing as many details as possible about the donation to speed up the tracking process. We recommend adding the donor to the email, and we will then be able to send the receipt directly to them.
